Is The Bare Minerals Beauty Calendar Worth The Money?

By Allaboutabbyx - January 03, 2020

It's that time of year where I'm going to look back and admire everything that was included in the Bare Minerals beauty calendar. My beautiful mom suprised with this just before the 1st of December and I think it was safe to say I was so excited! The advent Calendar was £75 but was worth £218, I'm just going to go through and see if it was actually worth the money.
So this blog will be a lengthy one so make sure you have a drink, a biscuit and make sure your comfy. Here we go...

Day One was a 6.5ml lashtopia mascara, it has a big brush to create volume. The bristles catch every lash so it avoids the clumpy spider effect on the lash. It creates volumised lashes and looks super thick and luxurious.
12 ml retails at £21

Day Two was a radiant tint (13ml) which is a moisturiser that gives your skin a tint and it matches your skin tone. it also has spf 30 to protect your skin from the sun. Perfect for under your foundation to make your face look flawless.
50ml retails at £35

Day Three was a beautiful 2ml matte liquid lip colour in the shade 'Bo$$'. It's a gorgeous nude, brown, pink shade and It goes with any style of make up.  It stays on pretty good too, I had my lunch and didn't have to top up. Although by the end of my 4 hour shift, it had budged just a little.
4ml retails at £18

Day Four is a 7.5 ml Vital Power Infusion serum. You add this after you cleanse, use 2 pumps and it helps skin feel hydrated and healthy. I must admit my skin feels gorgeous after this serum and is a dream underneath foundation.
50ml retails at £48
30ml retails at £34

Day Five was a gorgeous 3.8 ml endless Sumer bronzer in the shade 'Warmth'. The colour is gorgeous and the formula is powdery. Its blends nicely on the skin, although it is very light so you need to build the colour up to see the results.
10g retails at £26

Day Six is loose 0.28g eyeshadow in the shade 'Nude Beach' Its a gorgeous pink, champagne colour. Perfect for cut creases and corners of the eyes. You could easily use it as a highlighter to as it shimmers and shines.
0.58g retails at £15

Day Seven is a 1.2g bare pro long wear lipsticks in the shade 'Petal'. This lipstick claims to be smudge free, kiss free and sweat proof. Now although I didn't find it to be smudgy, it didn't last me the whole 4 hours of my shift. Once applied it's beautiful and matte and I would say it stays on for about 2 hours before it needs topping up.
2g retails at £20

Day Eight was a whopping 15g of gold face metallic mask. This mini sample comes from a set of their metallic masks where there are 4 masks altogether. We received the gold mask and your supposed to apply it to the areas where it's most beneficial. The gold mask helps hydrate your skin after leaving it on for 10-15 minutes. Its a beautiful mask that definitely helped my skin a lot!
The set of 4 retails at £29

Day Nine Is a 2g mineral veil finishing powder, perfect for baking concealer and overall face. It leaves your face oily free and mattes perfectly. This transulcent powder also has a  SPF of 15 so helps protect you from the sun. How much more perfect can it get!?
6g retails at £23

Day Ten we received a 10ml prime time foundation primer. This product goes under your foundation to create a flawless base for your makeup. I learnt quite quickly that you only need a pea size amount as it goes a hell of a long way. If you use too much It tends to be greasy and oily.
30ml retails at £25

Day Eleven is a dew setting spray in size 10ml. There is a hell of lot of product for a setting spray and it goes on perfectly. Shake before use and it comes out like a mist, evenly spraying around the face. A quick fan and you're all set to go.
100ml retails at £22

Day Twelve is a potted 0.57g loose blush in the colour 'Golden Gate'. It's a red, pink shade that looks shimmery and beautiful. Red colours don't tend to suit my face but if it did, it would be beautiful on
0.85g retails at £22

Day Thirteen is a gorgeous 2g gen nude patent lip colour in shade 'everything'. This lp colour is very stodgy and thick on the lips, but once you've blotted a few time, it's a lovely formula. The colour is perfect for everyday and also goes great with a smoky eye.
3.7ml retails at £18

Day Fourteen was a 5.5ml lash domination mascara, which is crazily out of this world. The bristles are small and curved so it grabs every lash creating a false lash effect. It dries very quickly so you don't have to be scared incase you smudge it
11ml retails at £21

Day Fifteen Is another 0.57g loose blusher in shade 'Hint'. Its a beautiful pink that makes your cheeks look rosy and radiant. Blends so easy and you don't need much to get the blush effect.
0.85g retails at £22

Day Sixteen is a potted loose eyeshadow in the shade 'Queen Tiffany'. This is a mixture go bronze and red colour, beautiful to create a gorgeous smoky eye. I love these eyeshadows as they are creamy and so easy to blend.
0.58 retails at £15

Day Seventeen is a beautiful shimmery 3.8g highlighter in the shade 'Free'. It's a champagne, nude highlighter and it's perfect for a daytime glow. it gives off such a subtle shimmer, so perfect if your not into high shine.
10g retails at £26

Day Eighteen Was a buttercream lipgloss in the shade 'Heartbreaker'. Its a lovely pink shade that would go with any outfit. However, the formula is too thick for me and I prefer my lipglosses light and airy. If you love a thick lipgloss, then this is for you!
4ml retails at £18

Day Nineteen is another potted eyeshadow In the Sade 'Heart'. it's a pink, nude colour that goes perfects with browns, reds and pinks. again, I can't stress enough that the eyeshadows are perfect formulas.
0.58 retails at £15

Day Twenty was a 2g powder blusher in shade 'Pink Me Up'. It's a very creamy and blendable blusher and has a great pigment. I prefer this blush over the powder one as I can control this formula better.
6g retails at £23

Day Twenty-one is another 2ml gen nude matte liquid lip colour in the shade 'Swank'. Its lovely deep red, brown shade and perfect for a night out. A darker shade of the two lip colours we've received, and I love this for the evenings.
4ml retails at £18

Day Twenty-two is the most loved product of Bare Minerals, a 2.25ml moxie plumping lipgloss is shade 'Rebel'. Ive heard so many great things about this lipgloss and they are right! it slight tingles but also gives you a fuller look on the lip.
4.2g retails at £18

Day Twenty-three was a mini all over face colour in shade 'Faux Tan'. I'm yet to try this but im a little excited as this allows you to have a tanned face without the sunshine! It's in the size 0.57g but there looks a huge amounts of the product. It's something that I think will last a lifetime.
1.5g retails at £22

Day Twenty-four finally we come to the end of the calendar and it upset me quite a lot! This beautiful lip gloss shimmer is perfect for Christmas Day and news years eve. A perfect shimmer to take you in to the new year! And if the shimmer didn't win you over, the fact it's another lip plumper most certainly will!
4.2g Retails at £18

Overall I think this advent calendar is spectacular for it's price. I worked out that each product is £3 each and they have given us some decent sized samples (working on the price of the calendar).  It's a pricey brand but what i've heard and used in the calendar I think it's definitely worth it! Their packaging is beautifully sleek and mimilistic and the products inside create such an impact. I wouldn't mind paying full prices for some of the products and I am already thinking about buying full sized products soon!
What did you guys think?
